FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS
Youth Football Skills Camp - July 7 and 8, 2022

Friday Night Lights

Our 2nd Annual Friday Night Lights - Youth Football Skills Camp scored BIG in the fun and learning departments, more than doubled in the number of campers and went from one to two nights of coaching from our volunteering HHS Varsity and HMS Football Coaches, Varsity Football Players, and Hubbard Little Eagle Coaches – all under the lights at Hubbard Memorial Stadium. We are grateful to have had two special guest speakers as well – 1993 Hubbard High School Alum and current Ohio State Highway Patrol Captain, Nakia Hendrix and Youngstown native, 7-year NFL football player and Super Bowl winning coach with the Seattle Seahawks, Sherman Smith. Both shared encouraging and inspiring messages for campers and parents, especially fathers, as well.

GOLF OUTING
Deer Creek Golf Course - July 23, 2022

Golf Outing

We are grateful to all who supported the HYC HEPC 2nd Annual Golf Outing through sponsorships, teams, foursomes, volunteering and donations! Our partnership with the Hubbard Educators Philanthrophy Committee makes it a win win for Hubbard youth. Both nonprofits work to assist the youth in our community and our annual golf outing helps to raise a portion of the funds needed for the coming year of service. None of what either nonprofit does could be done without your generous support. Thank you!

Fundraiser

Such a great event bringing our Hubbard and Howland communities together along with the US Army for a charity basketball game! HYC was blessed to be the recipient of shared funds from the night for our Roosevelt Remodel - Student Wellness Center project. We are grateful to the Hubbard Athletic Department, Hubbard Educators Association and our two communities for supporting Hoops for Hope and raising money for some great causes in both Hubbard and Howland!

Youth Volunteers

April was a busy month for HYC volunteers! Our teens were out volunteering at our fundraiser dinner with The Gentry and three community-wide events: Autism Awareness Training and Acceptance Program (AATAP) Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Special Needs/Disability Resource Fair, Woodland Cellars Spring Eggstravaganza and Shop Small Hubbard Spring Fling. No matter the weather or the amount of work to be done, our teen volunteers always show up with smiles on their faces and ready to do whatever is needed to help out. Proud of our Hubbard youth and their willingness to serve our community! We have some pretty awesome future servant leaders in our HYC One Crew!

2022 HYC Throwing Clinic

HYC had the pleasure of hosting our 1st Annual Shot Put and Discus Throwing Clinic. Middle and High School throwers from 10 different schools put in a lot of hard work as they were challenged to become better throwers throughout the clinic by three exceptional coaches: Matthias Tayala – NCAA Division 1 Champion and Olympic Trials Qualifier; Derrick Vicars – Division 1 Throwing Coach at Bowling Green University and former NCAA National Champion in both shot put and discus; and Anthony Wilks – Four-time Division 1 All Ohio, Kent State recruit, 59 meters in hammer as a true freshman, 18.40 meters in weight.
It was a great day for everyone involved.

SHOP SMALL HUBBARD
Winter Night Market - December 11, 2021

HYC Youth Volunteers

The weather may have been treacherous earlier in the day, but that didn't stop the fun to be had at the parade or Roosevelt Gym for the Shop Small Hubbard Winter Night Market! HYC was on hand with our youth volunteers helping vendors throughout the night. Lots of great local shopping was had by all who came out. HYC is grateful to all you came out to help support our fundraising efforts for the Roosevelt Remodeling project! We love our Hubbard community! Didn't take a lot of pics, but here's a few of our hardworking youth volunteers.

CHRISTMAS AT THE MANSION
Woodland Cellars at the Manor - December 4 & 5, 2021

HYC Youth Volunteers

HYC had the opportunity to fundraise at this festive, holiday market hosted by Woodland Cellars to raise funds for our General Fund which is used where needed most in assisting our Hubbard youth with academic achievement, health and physical development and community service throughout the year. We had 21 of our youth volunteers on hand helping the younger kiddos with holiday crafts after they got to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Lots of holiday fun was had by all!

PASTA DINNER FUNDRAISER
The White Rose Spaghetti House - October 17, 2021

Fundraiser

HYC teamed up with the Veteran owned and operated White Rose Spaghetti House in Masury, OH for a drive-thru pasta dinner fundraiser. Youth volunteers came out for a second rainy day over the weekend, while Mike and his crew served delicious pasta dinners. 100% of the proceeds went to HYC's Roosevelt Remodel - Student Wellness Center project.

SHOP SMALL HUBBARD
Tylee Park - October 16, 2021

Youth Volunteers

HYC was happy to be a part of Fall Shop Small Hubbard to raise awareness and funds. But BEST OF ALL...two shifts of teens came out on a rainy Saturday to serve their Hubbard community through HYC! The teens gave their time and energy helping the vendors set up and break down their tents and displays. Their willingness to help, positive attitudes and kindness were definitely highlights of a great day of community gathering!

GOLF OUTING
Deer Creek Golf Course - July 23, 2021

Golf outing image

Hubbard Youth Coalition hit a hole-in-one by teaming up with the Hubbard Educators Philanthropy Committee at our first annual golf scramble. Fun was had by all and we had great community support with 21 teams and over 30 sponsors. Grateful to all who golfed and supported HYC and HEPC through the golf outing!
